Position summary:

Axiom Labs is always seeking driven and innovative Founding Computational Biologists / Machine Learning Engineers (Scientist I - Director) to advance our research into single-cell expression and cell imaging technologies. As a founding member of our scientific team, you will work collaboratively with a diverse group of engineers and scientists to generate meaningful biological insights, integrate modalities, and define useful biomarkers. This is a unique opportunity to shape the culture and scientific direction of a seed-stage company committed to groundbreaking, open-ended research.

Key responsibilities:

Analyze and interpret single-cell and bulk transcriptomics, proteomics, advanced cell imaging, and clinical data data to uncover molecular signatures associated with disease mechanisms, progression, and diagnostics.

Develop algorithms and pipelines to solve problems at the core of our business.

Create tools to enhance the reproducibility and scalability of bioinformatics data analysis integrated across data modalities.

Explore mentored opportunities to build computational infrastructure, including databases (PostgreSQL), automated workflows (Nextflow), container environments (Docker), and APIs (REST).

Collaborate across disciplines, contributing your expertise while embracing a generalist mindset to tackle complex scientific challenges. Contribute to company-wide decision making.
