Position Summary:

Axiom Labs is seeking a self-motivated Research Associate to run and optimize single-cell and bulk genomics workflows that fuel our discovery platform. Working hand-in-hand with hardware engineers and computational biologists, you’ll translate cutting-edge protocols into reliable, high-throughput lab processes and help generate the best-in-class datasets that power new insights in human CNS disease.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute and refine single-cell isolation, nucleic-acid extraction, and NGS library-prep protocols.
• Monitor QC metrics (RIN, cell recovery) and maintain real-time dashboards and inventory.
• Troubleshoot workflow bottlenecks, collaborating with hardware and bioinformatics teams to boost yield and data quality.
• Implement and troubleshoot workflows for single-cell collection and processing to maximize efficiency and scalability.

Experience:

• Completion of a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in molecular/cellular biology, genomics, bioengineering, or a related field.
• 1+ years of experience working in a research laboratory (academia or industry) with hands-on molecular biology techniques.
• Bench skills including nucleic-acid extraction, qPCR, ELISA, cell counting, and RNA fragment analysis.
• Experience with single-cell or bulk RNA sequencing, including sample preparation, library construction, and quality control.
• Experience with CLIA/CAP lab quality systems is a plus.
